CÔTE D'IVOIRE 🇨🇮 From Eat the World NYC: While comparatively small when judged next to parts of Harlem and especially some neighborhoods in the Bronx, Bedford-Stuyvesant's Fulton Street still holds its own when considering the treats to be found of West African origin. Chefs from a range of the francophone nations there can be found if you look hard enough, with those of Ghana a bit further south in Crown Heights and Prospect Lefferts Gardens. Outside of this zone, the storefront at this address on the dividing line of Bedstuy and Bushwick has been home to the foods of Côte d'Ivoire for quite some time. The previous restaurant here, called Abidjan and named after the economic capital of the country, was on the to do list for most of its life, but West African hunger pangs always led to trips to different parts of the city. My first time having French Ivory Coast cuisine and I was extremely impressed! A home grown restaurant, the food is made from scratch and takes time to get to your table but every minute spent waiting is worth it. Each person in my party had something different and everyone loved everything they had! Would definitely visit again!
